Casa Origen Hotel - Oaxaca

The conversion from a large house to a hotel gives it a unique charm. Occupying multiple rooms with family created a cozy atmosphere that felt almost like home.

Thin walls led to some noticeable noise issues, particularly from other guests. Small room compared to photos, coupled with a lack of air conditioning.

Marvellous service and stunning and magnificent location, great for our needs. The very hard working staff working throughout the hotel. The king room with electrical equipment, shared kitchen, for example...

The location is fantastic. You can easily walk to main attractions and local eateries. The room had a comfy bed and a well-stocked kitchen, made breakfast plans easy. Loved that bottled water was always available. The WiFi worked well most of the time but had a few hiccups. The noise from other guests was bothersome, as late-night shouting kept us awake from 10 PM to 2 AM and then started up again as early as 6 AM. It would be better if the hotel enforced their quiet hours more strictly. The bathroom could definitely use attention. The water pressure was inconsistent, and we dealt with occasional cold showers. A bedside lamp could make evenings much cozier too. The staff were friendly and offered taxi services when we checked out, but addressing the noise issue would improve guest comfort significantly.

Thank you for a very nice stay. Overall it is a lovely welcoming hotel and we truly enjoyed the stay, the location was stunning close to the city center. Attractive and comfy rooms, plus the staff is amiable. The bed is comfortable, slept really good. All in all they offer outstanding service👍

Our favourite, small hotel in Oaxaca with amazingly nice staff.

Loved the spacious rooms and the lovely terrace! The common kitchen was super handy, but our bathroom was a bit cramped and had some ants around. Still, a great stay overall 🌼

Rooms could benefit from better sound isolation!!! The check-in policy is rigid, especially when arriving early!!! The sink drainage has a strong odor that needs fixing!!!

The hotel was very underwhelming, honestly. I waited 20 minutes at check-in, a good surprise, only to find a freezing cold shower! Not cool, by the way. Oh, and don't get me started on the toilet, took ages to flush! A complimentary upgrade woudl've been nice, but alas, just couldn't be bothered.
